We deliver between 15 and 30 projects a year for our partners.
In 2016, an initial community consultation was carried out to find out how local people thought Balbardie Park could be improved. Following this, an assessment was carried out to determine the condition of the paths, existing woodland and trees, site furniture and signage, to further inform possible improvements. A master plan has been produced identifying a number of potential improvements including path upgrades and drainage, woodland management and tree planting, a re-profiled bike track, new seating, signage and interpretation. It is proposed that these improvements will be developed in phases as funding is secured.
The first phase will focus on the upgrading of particular paths and signage, as a priority for the benefit of park users. Central Scotland Green Network Trust and West Lothian Council would now welcome your comments on these potential upgrades.
The plan adjacent shows the location of the proposed work. This includes re-surfacing, filling in pot holes, removing vegetation to reveal original path widths as well as new and improved drainage and some signage.
